Whats happy-ning ?
Happiness can be understood as a sense of well-being and contentment that stems from living a fulfilling and meaningful life. However, it's important to realize that happiness isn't about feeling good all the time or having every material possession we desire. In fact, research suggests that true happiness often involves facing discomfort and challenges—because overcoming these obstacles can lead to personal growth and a deeper sense of accomplishment.
I remember a conversation I had about the purpose of life. I confidently said my main goal was to be happy, but the person I was speaking with challenged that idea, suggesting that my purpose should be to help others. At first, I was shocked and even saddened by this perspective, feeling as though I had been selfish in my thinking. I spent several days reflecting on the conversation, trying to understand if I had misunderstood my own purpose in life

After reflecting on the conversation, I realized that prioritizing my own happiness isn't selfish; it's necessary. Taking care of myself allows me to be better equipped to help others. While making a positive impact on the world is important, it starts with ensuring my own well-being. As Maya Angelou wisely said, "people may not remember exactly what you did or said, but they will always remember how you made them feel." By focusing on my own joy and engaging in activities that uplift me, I can create a positive environment not just for myself but for those around me. Happiness is often within our control and can be nurtured through small, consistent actions each day.
